About Me
I was born in the late 60's, in Pullman, WA and moved to Spokane soon after. At the age of three, my father, who was also a teacher, was offered a high school position in the town of Palouse. When I was six, our family moved back to Spokane, where I have enjoyed living ever since.
After high school I attended Spokane Falls Community College (SFCC) where I played on their "hall of fame" championship baseball team. Later on I was recruited to play baseball at Whitworth University in Spokane.
I graduated from Whitworth after double majoring in Business Management and Accounting. During my final year in college I also worked for Coopers & Lybrand, a "Big Six" accounting firm.
Surprisingly, I didn't enjoy sitting at a desk all day, funneling through tax information, so I moved on and started my own small business. After a few years, I realized that I didn't want to stay in the business field for the rest of my life.
So my path in teaching all began one nice, summer, morning, heading to Montana on a fishing trip with a friend of mine, who is a professor of educators. We were discussing our jobs and I told him that I was considering changing careers. I mentioned that in my early college days, I considered becoming a teacher. He encouraged me to consider entering his Masters in Teaching program. Being a Christian, I prayed over the matter and felt this was the right direction.

One of Mr. Eilmes' favorite pastimes.
